One of the silver clasps and most of the cup-nails were missing. Using the remaining material as models a new clasp was made using massive silver. The figures on the clasp were engraved using old techniques and tools.








The nails were punched in a special tool with holes in it to form half spheres. Later a silver nail was soldered in.






Then the original clasps and cornerpieces were carefully cleaned to meet the colour of the appended silver.
